No matter what anyone on the Submersible Death Trap might say, the picture above is what it's really all about. Grand Bonecoming 2007, with supporting leave commencing in about eighteen hours. The main question currently before me is, "can I - do I - want to make the entire trip Thursday night?" Spending all of today cooped up at work nearly convinced me that laying up and spending the night in Oneonta was the right course. But when I got home - about an hour ago, mind you - my inbox was full of e-mails about the gathering at the Chapter House tomorrow night. Now I'm seriously considering trying to go all the way. In retrospect, I should have taken an additional day of leave, but there were other circumstances in play when I made the request, that are no longer the case.
The car is packed, the alcohol is bought, and I'm psyched. This weekend - and the four days on Long Island to follow - are going to rule. I've got exactly 182.5 hours of leave, and I intend to make the most of each one of them.
