...but in a good sense; I simply can't turn and look away. As it turns out, I'm nowhere near finished talking about Razzy. Three more things cropped up in my head after my post:
When finding the "current music" for that post, I just scrolled through Winamp until the next Sara Bareilles song came up. Not until ten hours later did I realize the slight irony of it being "Morningside"; Razzy is a Columbia grad student, and that school's main campus is in the Morningside Heights section of Manhattan.
I was going to hate on Razzy by bringing out hard statistics - specifically, Alexa rankings. Hers is 1,177,288, compared to 12,229 for TuckerMax.com. At some point yesterday, it occurred to me that even that seven digit number was lower that the rank for this page - that is, if tfo even has one. Since an Alexa search doesn't even return my blog, I've got to concede that point.
The best thing of all about the RazzyBlog is what NMCI, the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, does with the pictures. The NMCI is the watered-down Internet I have at work; it blocks many important sites, including MySpace, YouTube, and Photobucket. The RazzyBlog itself is not blocked, but most of the pictures on its front page are. In fact, only three make it through...and they all happen to show the author topless. It warms my heart to know and to show how stupid the Seagoing Military Force is.
When I break it down, the good clearly outweighs the bad here. I'd classify myself as a Razzyphile, and I'm going to link to her here.
