...and I merely watched the Wimbledon men's singles final. Nine-seven in a fifth set simply doesn't do this justice. Federer fighting from two sets down - and winning that fourth-set tiebreak! They went back into the locker room early in the fifth - and came back out with big questions as to whether they'd get the match in today, thanks to the unlit Centre Court. They ended up playing about as much tennis as they could without extending the match into tomorrow - which meant I would have missed the ending. Both winner and runner-up handled themselves with class, and I don't blame Nadal for jumping into the stands to find his family after the win. It was the kind of match that once again reaffirms why sports rule, and always shall.
If you missed it, this match will be replayed at 7 pm EDT tomorrow night on ESPN Classic.
