close to the end now...

Today is the penultimate day of leave, and the last full one here at my ancestral home. Tomorrow it's back to the Armpit, most likely via good old Cross Sound Ferry. Right now I am carless, as the Blue Trooper is in the shop being inspected.

I hadn't heard anything from Penn and Teller for a while, in no small part because I hadn't sought out anything about them. But a post from Cato-at-liberty reminded me why it's great to have them onboard as libertarians. Here's the video: Penn And Teller Get Hippies To Sign Water Banning Petition.

I saw a really creepy commercial today, for the organization Darkness to Light. Their cause is laudable, and the spot certainly got my attention. Here it is.

Despite saying last night that I wasn't sure if the PNR would go forward, I did re-work the route in the second week. This came after forceful recommendation from e-Scarlet, who is from the area I'll be in at that time. New itinerary is up; not so much yet on the maps.
