This is why I can't...

It's been mostly sunny this week on Long Island. I've taken advantage of this fact by leaving the windows (and occasionally the sun roof) open when the car is parked in my driveway. With everything shut, the cabin becomes superheated, and the key interior surfaces - steering wheel, dashboard, gear shift - are almost too hot to touch, as they're all black.

Unfortunately, the open windows policy is now kaput, regardless of the weather. This is why:

I remembered to take the picture before wiping this dropping away, but after spraying the cleaning solution. At least the party responsible for the delivery of this gift had the good grace to leave it where it could be easily cleaned.
