The Tigers closed the season with a 5-1 spurt to finish 43-119, and avoid tying the post-1900 record for losses in a season (still held solely by the 1962 Mets). The Tigers and the crowd were congratulating themselves after the game. I must ask, "WHY?" They still lost 119 games! And they can't fall back on the fact that they're an expansion team, like the '62 Mets could. They should be demoted to Class AAA. Immediately.
