It feels great to finally be home for the first time in seven months. Thus far I have chosen to do...absolutely nothing. There are still fourteen days ahead of me though.

The flights themselves were on time and without incident, but the trip did not get off to a good start, when I lost my cover (hat) in the Charleston airport. There is a Navy Exchange in Garden City, but it won't be open until Tuesday.

I haven't had a chance to see very much of Northport yet, but one thing that did stun me on the way home from LaGuardia was the gas prices. Almost a half dollar more than in Charleston. I'm going to get murdered on that while here. :-(
