Jack Cafferty put out an excellent piece today about the true state of our political system. I'm now very seriously thinking about buying his new book, "It's Getting Ugly Out There." I'm watching his hour-long special on CNN right now, and I'm loving it. I've been familiar with Cafferty since he was an anchor at WPIX-11 in New York, and it's awesome that he gets to share his viewpoint with the entire nation.
Today's column from Bill Simmons makes an impassioned plea to save Friday Night Lights, a plea I echo, having watched the entire season. More than anything, FNL is real. It's not very often that a show truly resonates with the lives of so many Americans, but we've got one here.
The week has broken better than I expected; here's hoping this fortune continues.
